Pro Football Hall of Fame to Host 2nd Annual Taste of the NFL
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and the Professional Football Hall of Fame will be hosting the 2nd Annual Taste of the NFL fundraiser on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Professional Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. This premiere event will feature the area's finest chefs, restaurants, wineries and breweries plus several Hall of Famers, who will be on-hand to greet guests. The event will also include a raffle, silent and live auction. Proceeds benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger by providing food and other essential products to more than 370 pantries, hot meal sites and hunger relief programs that serve people in need. In 2008, the Foodbank distributed more than 16 million pounds of food and assisted as many as 163,000 people in need living in 8 Ohio counties.
