Panthers help the hungry and homeless

On Monday, October 19, 2009 the Panthers present a memorable evening of gourmet food, fine wine and great entertainment during the annual Taste of the NFL at Bank of America Stadium. An evening of football, food and fun, this party with a purpose brings together some of the top chefs in North and South Carolina to serve up their specialties for Panthers fans and food connoisseurs as current and former Panthers players mingle with the guests.

The purpose of the event is to address the needs of the hungry and homeless by raising awareness and money. Proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to more than 600 charitable agencies, assisting people in need in 14 North Carolina counties and five in South Carolina.
