The high bid for Houser's autographed helmet was $8,500.  The money raised from this helmet will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans which has received more than $20,000 in the last three years as a result of Houser and Spicer's efforts--enough to provide one meal for 80,000 people in the New Orleans area.

Runners up in the Helmets for Hunger auction were Andy Russell (Pittsburgh Steelers Alumni), Chad Greenway (Minnesota Vikings) and Eric Wright (San Francisco 49ers Alumni).
