Peet’s Flash-Chilled Big Bang with Cardamom

Looking for a bold and refreshing coffee recipe? Because we all know that there’s something magical about coffee that cools you down and wakes you up. This flash-chilled Big Bang® coffee with cardamom is brewed hot and strong over ice for a fast, flavorful chill. Featuring Big Bang medium roast and a hint of cardamom spice, this easy iced coffee recipe delivers vibrant citrus notes with a cool, aromatic finish—perfect for warm days and coffee lovers who like a twist.

 

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Peet’s Big Bang, ground
  • 2 cardamom pods, cracked and lightly crushed*
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 cups ice

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil.
  2. Put ground Big Bang into filter and place cardamom pods atop grounds.
  3. Add 1 cup of ice to a carafe (a Chemex works great for this) and brew coffee with cardamom directly over the ice in the carafe.
  4. Add remaining ice to glasses and serve, adding milk and/or sweetener of choice, if desired.

*Note: if you don’t have whole cardamom pods, you can use 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom, or more to taste.
